Overview
This Collings I-35 LC Blonde Aged is without doubt our favourite electric guitar that we have owned (not including some of our "holy grail" guitars on consignment) in our inventory to date. This would be our "desert island" guitar, and there's a high probability it will become the lucky new owner's too!
Highly respected by acoustic and electric players alike, Collings are known for their meticulous craftsmanship and for producing some of the absolute finest handmade guitars in existence. The lutherie work on display with this I-35 LC is impeccable. Our favourite feature showcasing this exquisite craftsmanship is the violin-style heel construction, with the maple back extending over the top of the mahogany neck's heel. This sculpted heel design eliminates the ledge that would typically be there. The heel and back are then framed in a single piece of ivoroid binding, just masterful work!
Sonically, whatever magic Collings have conjured here is in full effect; this is an extremely resonant semi-hollow with superb dry and woody tones. The pair of Lollar Low Wind Imperial humbuckers do a fantastic job of outputting this with an abundance of headroom and excellent string separation.
This I-35 LC began construction in 2017 and left Collings in February of 2018. It has been sourced from a collector well-known to us at Smokestack and it is presented in truly excellent condition throughout.
After a thorough inspection, we are pleased to report that there are no chips or dings present anywhere on the guitar. The frets are in excellent condition, with just a small amount of wear (plenty of life still left). Cosmetically, expect only the lightest of playwear and none that is incongruous with its light level of factory aging from Collings - in short, this is an extremely clean example.
The weight of this guitar is 3.17kg (6.99lbs).
The original Deluxe hardshell case is included. It has some light wear but is in good condition overall. Please see the photos for all the included case candy.

Shipping: U.K. delivery is charged at £16.50 and is via the Parcelforce Express AM service. We usually ship the next working day (Mon. - Fri.) after cleared payment. UK delivery only. We can't deliver to P.O. Boxes. In the unlikely event that there is damage to the item you must notify us immediately on the day that you receive it.
Returns: Returns are allowed within 14 days of purchase. Goods must be returned to us in the exact same condition that they were sent in and you must contact us beforehand to authorise a return - no exceptions. The buyer is responsible for the item being safely returned and the return postage costs. The buyer must insure the item to its full value to avoid loss.
