Overview
We nearly choked on our Werther's Original when we opened the case on this stunning, utterly buttery Ernie Ball 2018 BFR Axis!
Strictly limited to only 48 instruments, this outstanding Axis is #30 in the run. Finished in a truly sweet Butterscotch Burst and presented in immaculate condition, this is one Limited Edition Axis you will not want to miss.
The flame maple top selected here looks striking, with its consistent, tight flame. It has been paired with a basswood body for that classic EVH Signature/Axis tonewood combination.
The Figured Roasted Maple Neck just oozes playability. Its Asymmetric profile (thinner on the treble side), combined with EBMM's Ultra-light Satin Polyurethane finish, makes transitioning super slick. Further adding to its superb playability is the 10" radius and high-profile, medium-width frets. A particularly nice piece of ebony has been selected for the fretboard, a perfect match for the maple top's dark edge burst and black-painted basswood body.
Loaded with a pair of Custom DiMarzio humbuckers, these high-output pickups are powerful and dynamic, ready for hot lead lines to galloping rhythms.
This guitar has come from one of the UK's finest collections. It has been stored away for virtually its entire life and is presented in immaculate condition. The only thing to note is a small, fine stress crack that is visible on the treble-side of the neck pocket (see highlighted picture). Other than that, there are only extremely limited signs of any prior play/handling.
Please see above for full specifications, or get in touch for further information.
The weight of this guitar is 3.50kg (7.72lbs). Please see the photos for all the included case candy.
The original Music Man hardshell case is included. Please note that it has a few external marks and scuffs from storage.
This guitar has come from one of the UK's very finest collections; as such, the case has been numbered "201" in marker pen near the middle latch.
