Overview
"The demon who makes trophies of men"...time to grab this killer Axis and get to the chopper!
Fresh in stock at Smokestack is this mint condition Ernie Ball Music Man 2019 BFR Axis Predator Green Quilt.
The Ball Family Reserve have done it yet again, crafting a very special instrument, showcasing the pinnacle of craftsmanship, quality and materials that BFR guitars are revered for.
Strictly limited to only 50 instruments, this outstanding Axis is a single-digit #8 in the run. We have to say, it's our favourite Axis that we've had the pleasure of witnessing so far. With its mesmerising Premium Select Quilted Maple top, hand-stained in a satin Predator Green translucent finish, its stunning figuring looks otherworldly!
The Premium Select Quilted Maple Top has been paired with a Lightweight African Mahogany Body for that iconic tonewood combination. With the mahogany in a rich Translucent Walnut Satin finish, it adds to the overall "mean-yet-suave" aesthetic.
The Select Figured Roasted Maple Neck just oozes playability. Its Asymmetric profile (thinner on the treble side), combined with EBMM's much-praised Gunstock Oil & Hand-Rubbed Wax finish, makes transitioning super slick. Further adding to its superb playability is the 10" radius and high-profile, medium-width stainless steel frets - it feels like you're bending on ice! A particularly nice piece of ebony has been selected for the fretboard, a perfect match for the maple top's dark edge burst.
Loaded with a pair of Custom DiMarzio humbuckers, these high-output pickups are powerful and dynamic, ready for hot lead lines to galloping rhythms.
This guitar has come from one of the UK's finest collections. It has been stored away for virtually its entire life and is presented in mint condition. We dare say the guitar itself is in practically "as new" condition.
Please see above for full specifications, or get in touch for further information.
The weight of this guitar is 3.55kg (7.83lbs). Please see the photos for all the included case candy.
The original Music Man hardshell case is included. Please note that it has external marks and scuffs from storage.
This guitar has come from one of the UK's very finest collections; as such, the case has been numbered "200" in marker pen near the middle latch.
