Overview
Here's a true EVH collector's piece! Just arrived at Smokestack Guitars is this stunning, extremely early production 2008 EVH Wolfgang USA in Vintage White. With an ultra-low serial number of WG00026A, it is just 4 numbers later than Eddie's own Vintage White Wolfgang WG00022A (which was notably sold at GottaHaveRockAndRoll).
This Wolfgang has come from one of the UK's finest collections. It is best described as being in "excellent+" to near mint condition and has been a case queen, stored away for virtually its entire life.
There are no chips or dings anywhere on the guitar; it has some light general patina in the lacquer and fine surface scratches on the gloss black scratchplates, but overall this is an incredibly clean example. The stainless steel frets are also in near mint condition, showing minimal signs of play.
The electronics and EVH-branded Bourns potentiometers (both low-friction on this early model) are all original, except for the replaced toggle switch. The original toggle is still inside the case. For ease of use, the new switch has been wired the traditional way, down for bridge, up for neck, not reversed like how it would have come from the factory.
The Quartersawn Maple Neck features a very comfortable Wolfgang Backshape Profile, with its Hand-rubbed oil finish, it is a super-fast neck to transition on. We think the AA birdseye maple fretboard looks incredible against the Vintage White finish of the body, it makes the overall aesthetic really pop!
Loaded with a pair of Direct Mount Wolfgang Zebra Humbuckers, a 12-16" Compound Radius, Low-friction EVH-branded Bourns potentiometers, EVH Floyd Rose and D-Tuna, not only does this Wolfgang showcase superb quality US-made construction, but it's got specs galore.
If you're looking for a special, collectable Wolfgang, then you will be very pleased with this early example.
Please see above for full specifications, or get in touch for further information.
The weight of this guitar is 3.62kg (7.98lbs). Please see the photos for all the included case candy.
The original SKB Case (with molded stripes) is included. Please note that it has a few external scuffs from storage.
This guitar has come from one of the UK's very finest collections; as such, the case has been numbered "144" in marker pen on the front spine.
