Overview
Fresh in stock is this excellent condition EVH 2012 Wolfgang USA Stealth. If you are after an early version of a much-coveted US-made Stealth, here is a sweet example, ready to fly under the radar and land straight into your guitar line-up!
This guitar has come from one of the UK's finest collections. It is presented in excellent condition, the tremolo and electric control cavity plates still have their plastic films on from new. The stainless steel frets are also in excellent condition with limited signs of play.
Please note the matte Magna Coating "thin skin" finish has some signs of wear/rubbing, which is, for the most part, unavoidable with this type of matte finish. Just expect there to be some light surface/cosmetic wear and a couple of surface marks/scuffs at the neck heel join on the body (see close-up pictures). Overall it is a relatively clean example of a Stealth finish.
The Quartersawn Maple Neck features a very comfortable Wolfgang Backshape Profile, with its Hand-rubbed Satin Urethane finish, it is a super-fast neck to transition on. We love the thick ebony fretboard featured on this model, as did Eddie! His prevalent use of a Stealth Wolfgang throughout the A Different Kind of Truth tour marked his embrace of ebony fretboards after decades of shredding predominantly on maple.
Loaded with a pair of Direct Mount Wolfgang Zebra Humbuckers, a 12-16" Compound Radius, High & Low-friction Bourns potentiometers and an EVH D-Tuna, not only does this Wolfgang showcase superb quality US-made construction, but it's got specs galore. In fact, Guitar World selected this model in Paul Riario's "Top 5 Guitars of 2012" (in case you needed any extra endorsements other than from EVH himself!).
“You’ll get plenty of raw and edgy tones from the guitar, thanks to the EVH humbuckers being screwed directly into the wood, while the quartersawn maple neck and compound radius ebony fretboard with stainless steel frets makes fretting out near impossible...For rocking out and guitar pyrotechnics, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better axe.” - Paul Riario, Guitar World
