We bring you something very special from the rarefied heights of Gibson Custom Shop's Murphy Lab...this absolutely stunning 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue showcases the absolute pinnacle of Gibson in all its Double Gold (Ultra Light Aged finish) glory!
Tom Murphy and his team have crafted a miraculous reissue that brings to life every essence of an instrument from Gibson's Golden Era. From the period accurate ultra thin nitrocellulose finish, Historic Gibson Narrow/Tall frets, Cellulose Acetate Butyrate "CAB" plastics, right down to the hide glue adhesives, the smallest of minutiae has been poured over to create a reissue with exacting and unparalleled authenticity.
Purchased on 14/10/23 from Peach Guitars (authorised Gibson Custom Shop dealer) for £5199, this nearly new guitar is in mint condition throughout having only had extremely light play at home over the few short months by its one careful owner. The narrow/tall frets look brand new showing no evidence of useage. Please note that a copy of the original email purchase receipt will be included.
This Les Paul has a one-piece mahogany body married to a plain maple top for that iconic tonewood combination. Even unplugged this guitar is extremely resonant, notes ring through with lots of clarity and are very pronounced.
To accurately replicate the classic 50s Les Paul tone, the guitar is sporting two Custombucker Alnico 3 (unpotted) pickups. Gibson's engineers have spent years in development and testing to produce this highly accurate recreation of the original PAF humbucker. Gibson say these are some of the most accurate PAF recreations available with deeply rich harmonic characteristics.
The 50s Rounded Medium C neck is super comfortable in the hand giving a substantial vintage feel without being unwieldy. A fine indian rosewood fretboard is inlaid with classic Gibson trapezoid markers then finished with Historic Gibson Narrow/Tall frets and a 12" radius for the definitive classic Les Paul feel.
All case candy is present including the Certificate of Authenticity, hang tags, original style selector switch cover, Gibson Custom Warranty Information booklet etc. This all comes in a supremely high quality Lifton Historic 5-Latch padded hard case - this is a work of craftsmanship of itself!

RETURNS
Returns are allowed within 14 days of purchase. Goods must be returned in the exact same condition that they were sent in and you must contact us beforehand. The buyer is responsible for any return postage costs and must insure the item to it's full value to avoid loss.
