It is an absolute pleasure to be able to offer for sale this outstanding Gary Moore Aged Edition of the Gibson 2010 Custom Shop Collector's Choice #1 Melvyn Franks '59 Les Paul Standard (Greeny) Reissue.
This CC#1 Gary Moore Aged Edition is almost certainly the most highly sought-after Gibson model ever produced in modern times and it is a "Cold Day in Hell" if one ever comes up for sale on the market!
Released in 2010 while British-born collector Melvyn Franks owned the original Greeny (ex-Peter Green/Gary Moore), it was available in limited numbers in two versions: a VOS edition (300 pieces) and this spectacular Gary Moore Aged Edition, limited to strictly 125 pieces worldwide.
Aged exclusively by none other than Tom Murphy himself, the verisimilitude (if we dare use that word!) of this Greeny reissue remains unsurpassed. This guitar is a truly faithful and faultless representation of what was once Peter Green's iconic 1959 Les Paul, bearing all its patina and wear sustained during Moore's ownership.
The level of detail and realism that Tom Murphy has gone to on the aging process here is astonishing. From the "pinky-wear" mark around the bridge pickup and the headstock's visible "repair" to the numerous fine marks and patina in the nitrocellulose lacquer, the true texture of Greeny has been painstakingly transposed onto this most exquisite of reissues.
This guitar, serial number CC 01A 083, is in mint condition throughout with only extremely limited signs of playwear.
As you might imagine, this guitar sounds every bit as good as it looks and it delivers sustain on tap! A BurstBucker 3 is loaded in the neck (out-of-phase and with the pole pieces facing the bridge) and a BurstBucker 2 is in the bridge. With their unmatched bobbin windings and Alnico II magnets, they deliver the definitive PAF tones. Switch to the middle position and you've got that classic out-of-phase Greeny sound!
Much like the vintage Gibsons from the era it faithfully emulates, this Aged CC#1 is extremely collectable and highly revered in its own right - do not miss out on this most coveted of all Collector's Choice Reissues!
At the weigh-in, this CC#1 is 3.82kg (8.42lbs).
The case candy includes the Certificate of Authenticity (signed by Gary Moore), Hang Tags, Bumblebee Capacitor Tag, Gibson Gold Warranty Pamphlet and the case key.
The original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case is included and is in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear from storage.
This guitar has come from one of the UK's finest collections - as such, the case has been numbered "282" in a dark marker pen near the left-most latch. Due to the dark colour on the black case it is not very obvious to see.

Goods must be returned to us in the exact same condition that they were sent in and you must contact us beforehand to authorise a return - no exceptions.
