From the Rev's hands to yours! Smokestack Guitars presents this mint condition Gibson 2014 Custom Shop Played, Aged & Signed Billy F. Gibbons Pinstripe 1957 Goldtop Les Paul. This is Reverend Willie G’s own venerable take on the iconic Goldtop - we are not worthy!
Played and signed by Billy, this has to be one of the most exciting Custom Shop Les Pauls we've ever had. It certainly has the most mojo and…okay, we’re going to say it, it’s the most fun to play too!
Super lightweight, with a one-piece chambered mahogany body and a two-piece maple top, upon holding it, you’d half-expect it to be filled with helium. Whilst it may not be quite light enough to lift you on up to the Pearly Gates, it does feature a pair of them. Gibbons’ signature Seymour Duncans help result in a unique ‘57 "Reissue" that is nothing short of an absolute Texan-tone monster!
Adding to this guitar's superb comfort is a one-piece Mahogany neck with a "50s Gibbons" profile, based on exact measurements taken from his own '57 Goldtop.
For these guitars' tops, renowned hot-rod freehand pinstriper Rick Harris and his apprentice have expertly recreated Billy’s own striking pinstripe design. Alongside this, the suave toggle switch-delete, giving way to a (surprisingly functional) two-volume, one-tone electronics layout, culminates in the most badass Custom Shop ‘57 this side of Texas.
…speaking of which, Billy’s spec’d a Texas-shaped buckle rash wear pattern for a purposefully kitsch nod to his home, Lone Star State. Omitting that, you’d be forgiven for thinking the aging is natural, as the Custom Shop's relicing is exemplary. We particularly love the smoky, shadowed areas on the top, which further sets it apart from the standard VOS release of this model.
This Billy F. Gibbons Pinstripe '57 has come from one of the UK's finest collections. The guitar is presented in mint, collector-grade condition throughout. As such, the frets are also in mint condition, showing no signs of wear.
It is rare for an Aged & Signed Billy F. Gibbons Pinstripe to appear on the UK market, and this one, #19, is a stunning example. If you've Just Got Paid, do not miss this opportunity to secure this heavenly beast!

The weight of this guitar is an ethereal 3.41kg (7.52lbs).
The case candy includes the Gibson Custom Certificate of Authenticity, Pre-Pack Checklist, Gibson hang tags, case key, additional standard reissue electronics cavity backplate and an (empty) box of Rev. Willy's Mexican Lottery strings.
The original Custom Shop hardshell case is included. It is in excellent condition with just some minor marks from storage. As this guitar has come from one of the UK's finest collections, the case has been numbered "79" in marker pen on the front spine between the two leftmost latches.

Returns: Returns are allowed within 14 days of purchase. Goods must be returned to us in the exact same condition that they were sent in and you must contact us beforehand to authorise a return - no exceptions. The buyer is responsible for the item being safely returned and the return postage costs. The buyer must insure the item to its full value to avoid loss.
