Less Funk #49, more Funk #45! We are excited to present for sale this stunning Gibson 2013 Custom Shop Aged & Signed Joe Walsh 1960 Les Paul.
This guitar is #45 of only 50 to be both hand-aged by the legendary Tom Murphy and then signed & numbered by Joe Walsh himself. Tom's work is always a sight to behold, and here it really is exceptional; every mark is faithfully recreated and the patina of the original sympathetically captured.
Thanks to Tom Murphy, the Custom Shop and Walsh's close collaboration, these guitars are truly the closest you can get to owning and playing the real thing! No detail has been overlooked, from the specially selected flame maple top (picked to match as closely as possible with Joe's guitar), to the genuine aniline dye used on the back and sides, hot hide glue construction, the PAF-style Custom Bucker Alnico III pickups...even the darker-than-standard binding colour - it's full marks from us!
We would like to note that the guitar has had a headstock repair after having a clean break during transit a few years ago (talk about living Life in the Fast Lane!). The repair is exceptionally well executed and has been carried out by a renowned repair technician. In our photo of the headstock's back, we set our studio lights to full brightness to showcase this repair; in normal indoor lighting conditions, it's not obvious. You can't feel this repair in any way, either. Despite this, we have priced the guitar accordingly.
This Joe Walsh 1960 Les Paul has come from one of the UK's finest collections. Apart from the headstock incident in transit, the guitar has been very well looked after all its life; its condition is excellent throughout. The frets are also in excellent condition, showing only minimal use. They were PLEK'd by The Music Gallery (Highland Park, Illinois) and the guitar comes with the accompanying PLEK certificate.

The case candy includes the Gibson Custom Certificate of Authenticity, Pre-pack Checklist, Gibson hang tags and Plek Certificate.
The original Custom Shop Hardshell is included. It is in generally excellent condition, with only very minor marks from storage. As this guitar has come from one of the UK's finest collections, the case has been numbered "77" in marker pen on the front spine between the two leftmost latches.

Returns: Returns are allowed within 14 days of purchase. Goods must be returned to us in the exact same condition that they were sent in and you must contact us beforehand to authorise a return - no exceptions. The buyer is responsible for the item being safely returned and the return postage costs. The buyer must insure the item to its full value to avoid loss.
