We bring you something extremely special from the rarefied heights of PRS's Private Stock - this exquisite Custom 24 in Bahama Blue Smoked Burst showcases the very pinnacle of craftsmanship, innovation and materials that Paul Reed Smith has to offer, culminating in a true heirloom-quality instrument.

It is our pleasure to offer for sale this incredible, mint-condition Private Stock envisioning of PRS's flagship model. When we opened up the case on this Bahama Mama, it completely blew us away! Every single detail of this beautiful PRS has been pored over by Stevensville's finest luthiers to create the best of the best; this is the Custom 24 truly at its high-water mark! 

As you'd expect, the specification on this guitar is amazing, with the tonewood selection being second to none. The curly maple top is a joy to behold, with its rich, consistent figuring; you know this is a Private Stock from first glance. The Bahama Blue Smoked Burst finish does a superb job of accentuating this figuring, creating a really dramatic look, on both the top and on the back of the curly maple (Pattern Regular) neck. It should be stressed that the neck's figuring is completely mesmerising to witness; its "holographic" look is a showstopper!

The swamp ash on the body's back provides the perfect pairing to the curly maple top & neck. Its (semi-translucent) white finish contrasts well with the Bahama Blue and natural scraped binding. We really love the matching swamp ash backplates for a very suave final touch! 

The Private Stock team have really gone to town with this Custom 24. One of its unique features is a selection of curly maple inlays that have been stained to match the top and then outlined in Paua. This is such a striking look! Combine this with the vibrant paua side dots and it's an all-round 10/10 from us! 

On the hardware side, there is a gold/nickel hybrid finish PRS Tremolo and a set of our favourite, Phase III Locking Tuners. The gold saddles on the bridge are completely mint, with no signs of wear to the finish. The Phase III Tuners have been spec'd with curly maple buttons so they complete the guitar's overall aesthetic. We weren't joking when we said every detail had been pored over!

This Bahamian beauty is loaded with a pair of 58/15 humbuckers. They don't just look the part, with their gold pole pieces and brushed nickel covers, but they sound phenomenal too. Here, they are very much delivering the sweet balance of warmth and clarity that they are well-known for. They can be split via the push/pull tone knob, adding further versatility. 

As the photographs attest, this guitar has been exceptionally well cared for by its owner. It has had only extremely light use since new and we are pleased to report that it is in mint condition throughout. Upon thorough inspection, we can confirm that there are absolutely no chips, dings or scratches anywhere on the guitar. 

As it is from 2016, do expect some extremely light patina and playwear. But as previously mentioned, there are no specific marks to note. The frets are in excellent condition with only minimal signs of wear. You can tell from the perfect gold plating on the saddles that this guitar has practically been a case queen!

It should be noted that this is a particularly lightweight Custom 24, weighing in at a comfortable 3.32kg (7.32lbs).

The case candy includes the Private Stock Certificate of Authenticity, PRS sticker, Operating Instructions manual, PTC card, case key, Allen keys and the truss rod wrench.

The original Private Stock leather hardshell case is included, with the MODCAT sticker still present on the side. Please note that the case has some external marks from storage. 

This Custom 24 has come from one of the UK's very finest collections; as such, the case has been numbered in marker pen on the front spine, near the left-most latch (please see case pic).
