Overview
It is a delight to present for sale this stunning condition PRS 2022 Special Semi-Hollow finished in a searing Charcoal Cherry Burst.
This exquisite model is lavishly appointed throughout featuring a Pattern one-piece mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, bird inlays, a 25" scale length, 58/15 LT & Narrowfield pickups, PRS Gen III Trem, Phase III Tuners, CAB nitro finish and a superb selection of mahogany and maple.
We think the pickup selection and electronics layout on the Special Semi-Hollow is nothing less than sheer excellence from PRS. The hum-cancelling Narrowfield pickup, with its blend of mini-humbucker & P90-esque warmth, perfectly complements the pair of 58/15 Low Turn humbuckers which are highly articulate yet prominently voiced. It should be noted that volume levels are very smooth when transitioning between humbucker to Narrowfield and all three pickups are TCI Tuned.
A little-known secret about 58/15 LTs on this model is that they can implement an isolated split (operated via mini-toggles). This is as opposed to a standard split which just grounds the surplus coil, the isolated split completely removes it from the circuit.
This Special is a complete joy to play, even unplugged it has a beautiful timbre and is highly resonant - the player who receives this instrument will be very happy indeed!
The condition is truly excellent throughout showing only minimal signs of playwear, it is fair to best describe the condition as near mint. There is one tiny, shallow indentation near the 5-way switch. This is camouflaged very well by the figuring of the maple. It is only approximately 2mm in diameter and hard to notice unless looking directly for it (please see highlighted final gallery photo). The surface of the lacquer has not cracked and you have to catch it in a certain light to see it.
All case candy is present including the hang tag, truss rod tool, allen keys, case keys, PRS Sticker, Operating Instructions etc. The case itself is in excellent condition with only a few signs of light wear, the MODCAT sticker even still present on the case.
The Special really is a highly versatile and characterful guitar, a true Swiss-Army-knife-with-a-soul! Retailing new at £4875 (RRP was £5299 back in '22 when the guitar was made), here's your chance to own one of the finest PRS models at a great price.

We can't deliver to P.O. Boxes. In the unlikely event that there is damage to the item you must notify us immediately on the day that you receive it.
Returns: Returns are allowed within 14 days of purchase. Goods must be returned to us in the exact same condition that they were sent in and you must contact us beforehand to authorise a return - no exceptions. The buyer is responsible for the item being safely returned and the return postage costs. The buyer must insure the item to its full value to avoid loss.
