Holy moly, those barista maestros at Tom Anderson Guitarworks have brewed up a top treat here! We are thrilled to present this mint condition Tom Anderson 2025 Drop Top Hollow finished in Natural Mocha with Binding & Black Back. Like being delivered a double shot of espresso, just looking at this beauty is giving us the caffeine jitters.
Crafted by one of the world's most iconic and universally praised boutique builders, Tom Anderson never fails to disappoint and this stunning Drop Top Hollow is no different.
This guitar has been sourced from a collector well-known to us at Smokestack and it is immaculately presented. It is in mint condition throughout with extremely limited signs of prior play from its one careful prior owner. (For more exquisite Tom Anderson stock like this, please see our current selection!).
The highly figured Quilt Maple on display here is simply outstanding and is sure to provide a mind-warping hit of G.A.S.-induced fervour. This top has been paired with an Alder back, finished in a Black High Gloss; it looks super sleek, contrasting nicely with the Mocha stain and the maple's natural binding.
Everything about this guitar's neck is smoooth...and smooth = fast! There's a slick Satin Natural finish, the neck also features an Even-Taper +.030 shape, which maintains a similar depth from the nut to the 12th fret.
The characterful rosewood fingerboard is loaded with 22x Jumbo Stainless Steel Frets and features a 12-14" compound radius.
This combination makes bending a cinch with no worry of notes choking out.
Another standout feature we love is the "A-Wedgie" 2-bolt neck joint. This exclusive Anderson design is a 3-dimensional trapezoidal wedge that creates an extremely tight, accurate joint. It is the shape of the neck and pocket that lock together to create a tight bond, ensuring the neck is seated exactly where it should be with no chance of movement. As this revolutionary and innovative design completely eliminates lateral movement, 4 bolts are no longer required.
If this wasn't enough for a spicy spec, Tom Anderson has incorporated the patented Buzz Feiten Tuning System into this guitar. It's an essential addition for all of us intonation-fiends!
As you'd expect, this Drop Top brings enough sustain to last you through a post-apocalyptic winter and numerous juicy tones to keep you occupied throughout! A pair of hum-cancelling SC1s at the neck and middle positions deliver "slightly more than vintage level" output with plenty of clarity. The H2 on the bridge brings a medium-hot output with plenty of punch whilst remaining highly articulate.
5-way switching and a splitter allow for countless tonal options, but it won't take you long to hone in on something that catches your ear and imagination!
