Overview

A Shmear fit for the gods! We are thrilled to present this stunning James Tyler USA 2024 Studio Elite HD in a wondrous White Shmear Semi-Gloss Finish. If you're after a smokin' hot USA Studio Elite HD, then look no further!

As always with Tyler, build quality is second to none. From its solid "Mamywo" body to its Maple Fretboard and Quartersawn Maple Neck, the fit and finish here is superb. Combining this tonewood selection with a Gotoh Two-Post Tremolo (w/James Tyler-branded saddles) and Hipshot Locking Tuners only adds to this Tyler's rock-solid tuning stability.

This Studio Elite HD is loaded with a pair of JTS2 Hot Laura pickups in the neck and middle positions. Utilising Alnico 2 magnets, these single coils are fat, warm and open-sounding. On the bridge, we have a high-output Shark humbucker, featuring Alnico 5 magnets. Tyler describe it best as "Good tight low end. Good bark in the mids but still even sounding. Sweet singing highs with a lower peak. Fat single notes with a nice taste of compression. Big articulate overdrive".

Switching options include a 5-way pickup selector and an Active Midboost Preamp with Bypass and variable control knob. Made in collaboration with Demeter, this sought-after midboost acts as a low-impedance buffer when engaged, even when the midboost knob is rolled all the way down. 

This Tyler has come from one of the UK's finest collections. The only thing stopping us from saying the condition is 100% as new/mint is the finest of light playwear on the middle pickup's plastic cover, you can hardly see this, but its the only evidence of any prior play. Apart from this, it is mint condition everywhere, no chips, dings or scratches or other playwear marks. The plastic films are still present on the backplates from the factory. The frets are immaculate also. 

In short, this is an exceptionally clean example. It looks like it has had an hour or two of play at most. 

The weight of this guitar is 3.14kg (6.92lbs).

The original Tyler Signature hardshell case is included (we love the purple interior on this one!). It is in overall excellent condition, but does have a few external surface marks from storage. Please see the photos for all the included case candy.

This Tyler has come from one of the UK's very finest collections; as such, the case has been numbered "365" in marker pen on the front spine between the two left-most latches.
