It's not a Shmear, but it is most definitely ready to Schmoo! Grab your spandex, crank up the midboost preamp (heck, preamp your prefrontal cortex whilst you're at it!) - we're chasing those '80s parallel buffered "glassy" tones at full throttle with this beauty!
We are thrilled to present this mint condition James Tyler USA 2025 Studio Elite HD Rear Rout in See-Thru White w/Scraped Binding & Solid White Back. The body is finished in a gleaming Gloss coat and the neck is in a super smooth Satin Solid White (this satin finish is still completely box-fresh, with no shine from play).
As always with Tyler, build quality is second to none. From its solid "Mamywo" body to its Quilt Maple Top, Indian Rosewood Fretboard and Quartersawn Maple Neck, the finest tonewoods have been selected here. Combining this tonewood selection with a Gotoh Two-Post Tremolo (w/James Tyler branded saddles) and Hipshot Locking Tuners only adds to this Tyler's rock-solid tuning stability.
This Studio Elite HD is loaded with a pair of Tyler HCS-JTS5500 pickups in the neck and middle positions. This hum-cancelling variation of the JTS5500 is a stacked single-coil that uses Alnico 5 magnets to produce a powerful, distinct, chimey sound. On the bridge, we have a medium-output Tyler Secret humbucker; this highly articulate pickup is designed to cut through the mix, with an upper-midrange focus, excellent string separation, and presence.
[Please note: the owner had the Secret professionally installed after purchase. The original California Special humbucker is also included in the case.]
Switching options include a 5-way pickup selector, an Active Midboost Preamp with Bypass and variable control knob. In addition, there are independent series/parallel buttons for each pickup. It may seem like a lot, but everything will become second nature very quickly, especially as you will not want to be putting this guitar down!
This guitar is presented in mint condition throughout and still has the plastic films on the backplate covers. At the weigh-in, it is 3.03kg (6.69lbs).
The original Tyler Signature hardshell case is included. It is in overall excellent condition, but does have a few external surface marks from storage. Please see the photos for all the included case candy.
This Tyler comes from one of the UK's very finest collections; as such, the case has been numbered "395" in marker pen on the front spine between the two left-most latches.

Returns: Returns are allowed within 14 days of purchase. Goods must be returned to us in the exact same condition that they were sent in and you must contact us beforehand to authorise a return - no exceptions. The buyer is responsible for the item being safely returned and the return postage costs. The buyer must insure the item to its full value to avoid loss.
